Can I use a mattress on the radiology table?

There are customers asking about our PET medical x ray table. This is a six direction film bed. Customers want to buy mattress for this radiology table. For the radiology table of X light equipment, the EPE foam is most suitable for mattresses. We found the mattress for our customers, the outer cover is PU fabric, and the filler is EPE foam.

But generally for X-ray equipment, we do not recommend the use of mattresses on the radiology table, which is likely to cause artifacts, image X-ray film quality.
The radiology table material of our radiology table is Poly (methylmethacrylate). PMMA is a polymer synthesized from acrylic acid and its esters. The corresponding plastics are polyacrylic acid plastics. Among them, polymethylacrylate methyl ester is the most widely used. Polymethyl methacrylate abbreviated as PMMA, commonly known as plexiglass, has excellent transmittance, can penetrate more than 92% of the sun, ultraviolet light up to 73.5%; mechanical strength is high, with a certain degree of heat and cold resistance, corrosion resistance, good insulation, size stability.
